Our association's background
Evxinos Pontos Stockholm, the biggest Pontian association in Scandinavia, was founded in September 2nd, 1984. Our main goals are to keep our Pontian culture, our language and inform our members and the Swedish sociaty about the Pontian history. The central point for us has, since our foundation, always been our dance groups whhich have survived by the hard work of the dance instructions through the years. These were Georgios Simeonidis and Nikos Bogiatzidis from 1984 to 1990 and Dina Fraggidou and Olga Isaakidou from 1991 and continues until today!

The membership number has been various through the years and today we have 210 paying members, som of them started their membership the founding year 1984! One of them is our honourary president Ioannis Fraggidis, who is one of the founders, has served as president for 14 years!

After our annual meeting on December 17th, 2006, our members elected seven new board members. The persons that was elected are the ones listed below. The board is active for a two year period and the next planned annual meeting and elections will be in December 2008.
